After our walk in the Inner Harbor, we were pretty sweaty and our paws were dirty - but Mom let us sleep on the bed anyway. So Sunday morning we got a bath! (No pictures. We're shy.) Mom went to get Poker first, but he ran away. Euchre ran towards the bathtub so he went first. Euchre has longer hair than Poker so he takes a little bit longer. Besides, he's white so you can really tell when he's dirty. We get shampoo squirted on, then Mom rubs it up until it's all bubbly. Then she shampoos our paws and gets in between the toes. To finish, our favorite part. We get massaged with the bath brush with nubby red fingers. We looove it.
Then our not so favorite part: she turns off the warm water and squeezes us so all the water runs out our hair. Then she dries us off with a towel and we go out of the tub. We walk a few steps and shake and walk and shake.
Lots of enemies old and new today: It was chilly so Mom tried to dry us with a hair dryer. Poker ran away of course. Euchre tried to hide in a corner of the bathroom, but Mom caught him. He learned to enjoy the warm air and fell asleep snoring while he was getting dried. Poker was still in hiding when Euchre was finished. Later, Mom used the vacuum cleaner. Aaah!! We still don't like that thing.
That was enough. We were tired and slept on the couch for most of the day with brief breaks to play with the big purple exercise ball and go for a ride to Trader Joe's. (I was very good and sat in the front seat while Mom was shopping. She put a big styrofoam cup over the emergency brake and I didn't try to chew that either. --Poker)
Then since we smelled so good we got to sleep in the bed again.
(Well, I smelled good. Poker farted. --Euchre)
