When we got to the regatta it was wet outside, but there were lots of people to sniff and to pet us. There were some other dogs there too. We liked hanging out in the pavilion and meeting all the people. I even tripped one lady! --Euchre It wasn't really hot today so we weren't panting a lot.

Mom's job was working at the finish line and she set up our cage under a table under the finish line tent. She put a towel down for us to lay on and gave us water. And canteloupe! --Poker When the boats came down the racecourse, she'd beep the airhorn - and Euchre would bark every time it beeped. He eventually got used to it. Most of the time we just layed in the cage. Euchre liked the platform - both laying on it and standing and putting his chin on it. Pretty soon we were both asleep.

Sometimes we traded places.

This is what we watched all day.

Everyone said we behaved really well. The other dogs barked a lot and ran far away when their leashes were taken off, but we were quiet and stayed close to Mom. On the ride home we were both tired. And dirty --Mom We slept the entire way home in the air-conditioned car. Poker perked up a bit when Mom said "Are you hungry? Wanna go home? Wanna eat?" He sat up for the rest of the ride!
When we got home, Mom fed us dinner and then lured us upstairs by saying "Canteloupe!" We fell for it and soon found ourselves in the bathtub. We both got baths. Aah...Clean doggies.
What a big day. We had a lot of fun. It's time for bed.

Did mom wash Euchre's mouth? I see the picture of him licking the ground. Eww.
