After a week of pining through the glass, I kicked off souvenir shopping in earnest! With the help of Michele behind the counter, I loaded up at
Na Hoku at the Hilton Waikoloa for some really nice jewelry that will remind me of Hawaii, but without all the kitsch. Marian would approve. I also picked up some "sump'in sump'ins" for some special people, but since not everyone has received their gifts yet, you won't see them here.
I did so well there, Michele gave me a 10% discount on my goodies. Combined with the super cheap Hawaii sales tax, it was a big Score!
And in case anybody wonders, it was a gift from me to me, because no one else (except Mom) buys me jewelry even though I ask.
(I got the earrings in yellow gold.)
