Yesterday we got a surprise! Mom came home early and said the Magic Words. Watermelon? --Poker No! Want to go for a ride? She had a bunch of places to go so she took us with her.
Poker rode up front and Euchre laid down in the back. First we went to the hair stylist with Mom. We weren't there long. When she came out, Poker kept staring at Mom. She looks the same, but different.
Then we rode downtown to the gym. We got there early, so Mom let us out for a walk on the grass. We waited for her in the car. We had a good parking spot right in front of the door so we watched lots of people going in and out. When she came back, Poker had taken her seat behind the steering wheel. He didn't let Mom sit there until she petted him for a while.
After the gym, Mom had a meeting so we drove up to the meeting spot and waited in the car for her some more. By this time, it was dark, so we just stayed in our spots and laid down for a nap.
We were happy when she finally came back and said, Ready to go home? Are you hungry? We were so tired, our ears didn't perk up until she asked us again as we were coming into the neighborhood. Yay! Food! And ride!
